We correct and/or delete your personal data whenever they are no longer up-to-date or necessary, or if you wish to end your subscription. However, we do keep certain information even after you have ended your subscription, for instance your sighting history, in order to fulfill our obligations regarding the purpose of Bird Alarm.
Do we share your personal data with other members of Bird Alarm?
Bird Alarm’s purpose is to make information available about bird sightings. When you post an alert, your personal data is shared with other members so as to ensure that the information you have shared is correct and that you have followed ethical and usage rules. You may choose to hide your phone number from your alerts and/or your personal statistics from the website. You select these options in your personal settings on Bird Alarm’s website.
What are your rights?
You have the right to request a copy of your personal data and to get your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-processable form so that they may be passed to another controller for personal data (data portability). You also have the right to request for your personal data to be corrected or erased, and to request our processing of your personal data to be limited. However, if you request to erase or limit our access to data that is necessary to fulfill the conditions above, your membership may be terminated as a result of your request. Please note that most of your communications with Bird Alarm happen via email or SMS.
