GPS position
Bird Alarm uses the GPS position from your phone when:
1. Opening the map, to position the map where you are located. No data is saved or transmitted.
2. You are reporting a sighted species and have selected My position (GPS) or the Map option from Position selection. The coordinates are sent to BirdAlarm.com and saved to position the species so that other bird watchers can find it. The coordinates will be publicly displayed and shared with other users.
Camera & image gallery
Bird Alarm uses the phone’s camera when:
1. You are reporting a sighted species and have chosen to include an image/photograph in the report/post by selecting the camera as the source. The image will be publicly displayed and shared with other users.

1. You are reporting a sighted species and have chosen to include an image/photograph in the report/post by selecting the image gallery as the source. The image will be publicly displayed and shared with other users.
Microphone & sound gallery
Bird Alarm uses the phone’s microphone when:
1. You are reporting a sighted species and have chosen to include a sound in the report/post by selecting to record the sound in the application. The sound will be publicly displayed/available and shared with other users.
